NHL Star, Petr Nedved, Hides the Puck with Supermodel Veronica Varekova
Petr Nedved looks for an opening Bongo News' Frank Cassano caught up with Petr Nedved of the New York Rangers to ask him how his marriage to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and Victoria's Secret lingerie model, Veronica Varekova, was going. Here is what Nedved told us.
Bongo: Well, Petr, what's the game plan concerning your marriage? Nedved: Well, you know, we just have to give it 110%. The important thing is that we don't beat ourselves. Bongo: Has your role become more defined as a husband? Nedved: Well, you know, I've got a job to do out there. I just have to take it one day at a time and not get too chippy. Bongo: And what are your long-term goals? Nedved: Well, you know, I'm usually good for 25-30 goals a year. The important thing is to remain positive, and the goals will take care of themselves. Bongo: Are you anticipating any bumps along the road? Nedved: Well, you know, you can't always win "“ I don't care how good a team you are. You win as a team, you lose as a team. Sometimes, you just have to take a good, hard look in the mirror, pull up your socks, and remember what got you to winning in the first place. In the end, it's only a game, but you have to have a real love of the game to make it work, though, that's for sure. Bongo: Isn't great to know you'll be sleeping with a supermodel every night? Nedved: Well, you know, I just have to go out there and play my game. If you're persistent, then eventually the chances are going to come. Hopefully, if I'm patient and get a few breaks, I can sneak a few in.
