Nicolas Cage Has Superboy
NEW YORK — Nicholas Cage and his wife, Alice Kim, have become proud parents of a beautiful baby boy, whom they have named Kal-El Coppola Cage.
The actor and his former sushi waitress bride named the baby after the Superman comic book hero, whose real name was Kal-El. Comic book fans will know that Superman’s parents, Jor-El and Lara, sent their son Kal-El to Earth in an effort to save his life as their planet, Krypton, was destroyed.
The baby was also named Coppola, after a winery.
Cage told a reporter that his son is no ordinary baby. "He can change the course of mighty rivers and bend steel with his bare hands," he said.
Will he also fight the never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way?
Cage said that Kal-El had been sleeping in bed with him and his wife since the birth but that he will sleep in his kryp tonite.
