I Would Have Executed Hussein Differently, Says Attorney General Gonzales
Execution proposal sketch #3 presented to President Bush by Attorney General Gonzalez WASHINGTON, D.C. — "I would have carried out the execution of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein `differently,''' said Justice Department head, Alberto Gonzales.
"We have had much experience in refining our torture and execution techniques at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib under my direction," he said, "and I was very disappointed that Saddam was turned over to the Iraqis.
"I was looking forward to participating in the ceremony and was quite upset when informed that it had already taken place. I'm looking forward to the next one."
