Cindy Sheehan Quits as the Face of the Anti-War Movement
FORT WORTH, Texas Cindy Sheehan, who led the anti-war movement with her 26 day protest outside President Bush's ranch in Waco, Texas, has announced that she will no longer be “the face” of the anti-war movement.
"I was estranged from my son so I realized it was a bit hypocritical of me to be leading the protest,” she said. “I was being two faced.”
“Also, I got tired or people telling me how ugly I was.”
“Damn right she was ugly,” said a spokesman for MoveOn.org, “and we are better off without her being the face of the movement.”
Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's leftist President, who met with Sheehan, said he was disappointed by her announcement.
“She’s not ugly,” he said, “I think she is hot! If I wasn’t a President and a leftist, she would be out of my league. But I think I may have a shot with her. I hear she’s single.”
Sheehan said put all her energy into stopping the war, even to the point of sacrificing her 29-year marriage.
"It was time to move on,” said her former husband.
