Obama: Dead Troops Not a "śWaste', More Like an Opportunity to Get Elected

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Presidential run of Barack Obama began to slightly unravel as he had his first stumble on the campaign trail, calling the soldiers' lives lost in Iraq "a waste."Ł

Realizing the insensitivity of his remark and the likely political fallout, Obama quickly back-tracked.

"I did not mean to say "śwaste.'"Ł He said. "I meant "śwaist.' They were young and fit and had slim waists, whereas mine is beginning to thicken. I may be young for a Presidential candidate but, my swimsuit photo op notwithstanding, my waist is thickening. It is sickening.

"I also meant to say we must honor the soldiers who lost their lives supporting their country. For what I'm not sure, perhaps for being so dumb that that went to that stupid war in the first place. What idiots!

"They probably voted for it too, like Hillary.

"No, I want to assure their families that their lives were indeed not wasted. Their deaths are an opportunity "Ž for me to get elected. I honor that!"Ł
