Obama Hails Disastrous Jobs' Report as "Progress ... Towards Eliminating the Private Sector"
WASHINGTON, D.C., 2010-07-03 President Obama hailed Friday's jobs' report, in which 142,000 people lost their jobs and 652,000 people left the workforce, a stunning combined total of almost 800,000 workers idled in one month.
Obama said the economy was "moving in the right direction ... which is the elimination of the private sector."
"There will be no more unscrupulous corporations," he said, "only government-run departments that make autos, run banks and dispense medical services. There will be no more oil production, but zillions of green jobs, doing what we haven't figured out yet. Imagine a future where there is no excess profit, or any profit, and taxes equal GDP."
